Tenerife
welcomes you to
golden sun all year round.
Tenerife is the
largest of the Canary Islands and the one with the greatest range of
scenery. Mount Teide (3,718 metres) is the highest mountain in Spain. We
even get snow up there in winter ! 
The
mountain range divides the island. The north is fertile, moist and
wooded while the south is ochre, arid and desert-like. The whole island
basks in golden sun all year round.

The
main tourist areas are located in the south centred on Playa de Las
Americas while the longest established tourist destination is in the north
at Puerto de la Cruz. Los Cristianos is in the south just to the east of
Playa de Las Americas.

Tenerife provides a warm and friendly welcome to all its visitors. The
island offers a range of activities to suit all the family. There are
fine beaches with water sport facilities and quiet spots to sun yourself
in. Away from the beach you have
(a
water park with Dolphin
Show) and Sky Park (bungee jumping and water).
Even further away, the stunning
countryside offers many opportunities for walking and exploring. Or
if you prefer make use of the one of the many golf courses.
The
animal and plant collections at Loro Parque and Las Agulias De Teide
should not be missed. There are numerous boats ready to take you offshore
to view whales and dolphins at close quarters
Restaurants cater for all tastes
and bars come in all varieties. Away form the tourist areas, rural
Tenerife has startling views and authentic restaurants.
The shopper is not forgotten. Tenerife is a duty free area within the
EC. Electrical goods and cameras provide particularly good value. In the
capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and at the Alcampo Shopping Centre (near
Puerto de la Cruz) you will find a range of shopping to equal any modern
European city.
Whether you want non-stop night life action, exploring the countryside,
authentic Spain or a quiet time, you'll find it on Tenerife.
Be prepared to chill out and slow down. Remember to bring the sun cream.
Don't drink too much (unless you want to) and get ready to wish that the
flight home wasn't quite so soon.
